Fall Colors? - Devil's Lake State Park Area Visitor's Guide

Well, it’s a little early to start chasing fall colors here in the Devil’s Lake State Park region, but it won’t be too long. Here are a couple of photos taken this week along the Merrimac Preserve hiking trails on the southeast corner of Devil’s Lake State Park.

Here in the Baraboo Hills our “peak” color usually arrives around the second or third week of October. BUT nature doesn’t follow our plans! That’s why we post weekly color reports starting in just about a week. Stay tuned!
