Wisconsin State Cow Chip Throw 2021

The Wisconsin State Cow Chip Throw 2021 is on for this Saturday, September 4th in Prairie du Sac, WI. (About 15 minutes south of Devil’s Lake State Park.) Baraboo River Rendezvous

The Baraboo River Rendezvous is a living history re-enactment; a celebration of the fur trade era dating from 1760 through 1840. The Baraboo River Rendezvous is held Labor Day weekend (Friday, Sep 3, 2021 through Sunday, Sep 5, 2021) near Circus World Museum, Baraboo WI on Spirit Point at the corner of Mill Race Dr. and Potter Street in Baraboo. Follow the orange flags. Fees are $2 adults $1 children 5 and under free. Click here for more information.

Downtown Baraboo

Also in Baraboo this weekend, the Farmer’s Market is on Saturday from 7:30 am to 1 pm on the square in Downtown Baraboo. On Sunday on the square, you can check out the Fresh Food Fest from 9 am to 3 pm and the Baraboo Sunday Market from 9 am to 3 pm as well. Meanwhile at Devil’s Lake State Park

Monarch Tagging

At Devil’s Lake State Park you and your family can help catch and tag Monarch butterflies which are just starting to migrate south for the winter. The results will be recorded with MonarchWatch.org. The naturalist will provide the nets and monarch tags. This program is great for all ages. Meet at the Steinke Basin Parking Lot at 1 pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
