The Department of Natural Resources is seeking public input as part of the Recreation Opportunities Analysis, which will examine existing outdoor-based recreation opportunities and future recreation opportunities in eight regions throughout Wisconsin including right here in Sauk County. This is your opportunity to be heard when it comes to Devil’s Lake State Park, Parfrey’s Glen, Pewit’s Nest and other areas you care about.
The best way to be heard in my opinion would be to attend the public open house meeting to be held Tuesday, December 5th from 4-7 p.m. at the Baraboo Civic Center, 124 2nd Street, Baraboo, WI 53913.
You can also fill out an online survey posted right here. You have until January 2, 2018, to get your comments in.
This is your opportunity to get your 2 cents in on ATV’s, motorcycles, bike trails, drone access, trail maintenance, off-leash dogs, parking issues, Pewit’s Nest, Parfrey’s Glen, the Sauk County Recreation Area and all that other stuff we regularly talk about around here. 🙂
The open houses will be held from 4-7 p.m. at the following locations:
- Tuesday, December 5 – Baraboo Civic Center, 124 2nd Street, Baraboo, WI 53913
- Wednesday, December 6th – Horicon Marsh Education & Visitor Center, N7725 Highway 28, Horicon, WI 53032
- Tuesday, December 12 – Urban Ecology Center – Menomonee Valley Branch, 3700 W. Pierce Street, Milwaukee, WI 53215
- Wednesday, December 13 – Wyndham Garden Hotel; 2969 Cahill Main, Fitchburg, WI 53711
