The Red Chair Travels is an interesting program where a “humble” red chair travels the country visiting interesting places and staying at interesting locations. The project which has been going on since 2011 is sponsored by BedandBreakfast.com
Recently The Red Chair arrived in the Baraboo area, and I was asked to photograph its exploration of the Baraboo Hills for our friends who own the Inn at Wawanissee Point. When I said it sounded like “fun”, I didn’t realize then that I would be carrying the chair on my back to visit Devil’s Doorway!
To be fair, David, the owner of Wawanissee Point carried the chair to the top of Gibraltar Rock near Lodi! I only had to carry my camera for that excursion!
Throughout its stay at Wawanissee Point, The Red Chair also explored the Ice Age Trail, road the merrimac ferry, visited Parfrey’s Glen and even did a bit of stand-up boarding on Devil’s Lake. For more on that story, and more pictures check out the new blog over on the Inn at Wawanissee Point’s website.
