I’d say the annual Full Moon Paddle last night at Devil’s Lake State Park was a success. With perfect weather and still water, over 70 people were game to get out on the lake for night paddle!
By the time we counted all the late arrivals we counted 49-50 boats, 70 people and 1 dog on last night’s paddle. We handed out over 300 free glow sticks, necklaces & bracelets!! Some folks came prepared and were pretty creative in lighting up their kayaks. It’s too bad it’s so hard to photograph in the dark while bouncing on the water!
Below are the pics I could grab throughout the evening. The next Full Moon Paddle won’t happen until next year, but there continue to be guided kayak tours Friday & Saturday evenings throughout the summer months at the park. For more information on regular guided kayak tours just head over to our events calendar!
Thanks to everyone for coming. Thanks to our support volunteers and of course thanks to the Devil’s Lake State Park nature center for hosting the event!
