Saturday night you can bring your lawn chair and watch our bats take off into the evening sky while the Big Band sounds of the Hal Edwards Orchestra fill the air!
Bring your comfy lawn chair and watch the bats!! Starting at 7:30 we’ll park our chairs by the bat condo near the north shore boat launch and watch the bats emerge from the houses. The park naturalist will have fun bat information and a bat scavenger hunt for the kids to do while the wait to the bats to emerge. This weekly event is always a great time for the kids!
Saturday night is also the last Big Band Dance of the Season for the Chateau. The dance goes from 7:30 – 10:30 pm. If you haven’t been to once of the Big Band Dances at the Chateau this summer, now’s your last chance! Come and dance to the Big Band sounds of the Hal Edwards Orchestra in Wisconsin’s celebrated “most romantic dance pavilion” – the Chateau located on Devil’s Lake’s North Shore. Cost is $10
Not a dancer? No babysitter? No problem! Bring the kids, lawn chairs, snacks, and of course your favorite libations so that you can easily head over to the Chateau after the bats program to enjoy the music outside on the lawn or on the beach. What a great way to spend a Saturday night at Devil’s Lake State Park!
– Remember your car does need a daily or annual Wisconsin State Park sticker!
