The Dells of the Wisconsin River is located just a few miles north of Downtown Wisconsin Dells on River Road. Only a very small portion of the land is open to the public however there is a walking trail that will lead you to a small sandy beach located on the Wisconsin River. The state owned natural area is quite beautiful but to see it properly you’ll need to view it from the water either by tour boat or canoe or kayak.
