Open House

Sunday, June 6 — No vehicle admission sticker required at any Wisconsin State Park.

Free Fishing Weekend

Saturday-Sunday, June 5-6 — No license required, but all other regulations still apply

Musical Comedy

June 19 and August 28, 7:30 p.m. — “Camp We-Kan-Tak-It” a musical comedy about life in Wisconsin’s Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), an original multi-media production based on 1930s CCC camp newspapers. Limited seating $5, tickets available at the Devil’s Lake Visitor Center. Program in the outdoor amphitheater in the Northern Lights Campground (weather permitting, cancelled in case of rain)

Big Band Concerts

Every Saturday night June 12 through August 28, and Sunday, September 5, 7:30-10:30 p.m. Enjoy the music! Listen and dance to the sound of live bands — the Hal Edwards Orchestra or the Summer Wind Band — in the historic north shore Chateau overlooking beautiful Devil’s Lake. Admission is $5.

Music in the Park

The last Sunday of the month in the summer, 6 p.m., outdoors along the north shore of the lake, or in the Chateau in case of rain:

* July 25 – Palmayra-Eagle Community Band

* August 29 – Soon To Be Famous Lodi Band

Universe in the Park

June 24, 8:45 p.m.; July 22, 8:30 p.m.; and August 19, 8 p.m. — Join astronomers from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Astronomy Program for an evening of exploring the universe. The park naturalist will be on hand to answer your questions about Devil’s Lake until dusk falls and the program begins. At the outdoor amphitheater in the Northern Lights Campground

Devil’s Challenge Triathlon

Sunday, September 19, 8 a.m. — If you’re up to it, swim 1/4 mile, bicycle 15 miles, then run 3 miles. Contact www.witriseries.com for information and registration. Starts at Devil’s Lake north shore.

Badger Trails youth camping

October 1-3 – Camp with more than 2,000 youth campers (mostly Boy Scouts), hike 13 miles, attend a teen dance, and have a good time. Contact www.badgertrails.org for more information.
