Memorial Weekend is here! I was just driving through the South Shore of Devil’s Lake this morning and thinking how quiet and peaceful it was. Well, that won’t last. As usual, it will be a crazy busy weekend here in the Devil’s Lake region.. That doesn’t mean you can’t find a quiet spot in the park however, 99.9% of park visitors will be hanging out down by the lake, so the rest of the park is always pretty tame. Well, Let’s look at the weekend’s last-minute news, notes and events…
Well, this nasty weather is sure playing havoc with our spring planning isn’t it? As you know, due to campground upgrades, making camping reservations at Devil’s lake State Park for the 2013 have been hard to come by. Construction on the campgrounds continues to make reservation information hard to come by at Devil’s Lake State Park this year. The rumor mill has it that the rest of Ice Age Campground will be reservable for dates after April 12th, beginning on March 19th at Reserve America. We can’t verify this info at the moment as things remain pretty fluid depending on weather, construction, etc… Remember, you can subscribe for updates at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources website as well.
