It’s a weekend of music and theatre at Devil’s Lake State Park. Saturday enjoy a bit of Shakespeare, then head down to the Chateau for a Big Band dance on Saturday and Sunday there will be Blue Grass music on the lawn! (And that’s not all!)

Think Shakespeare is old and boring? Think again! Join the Summit Players for 45 minutes of fun and brain acrobatics! Play some games, work with some text, and explore the natural world. Learn how Shakespeare used nature in his plays and why his characters talk the way they do. Shed any iambic penta-jitters, then join us for the show!

Happening at the Chateau (North Shore Concessions) Dance to the Big Band sounds of the Hal Edwards Orchestra in Wisconsin’s celebrated “most romantic dance pavilion” – the Chateau. Join us as we relive the glory years. Cost $10 per person.

Sunday, June 25, 6:00 – 8:00 pm Music in the Park
The SpareTime Bluegrass Band is thoroughly grounded in “traditional” bluegrass and performs numbers from newer bluegrass artist. This is a free concert sponsored by the Friends of Devil’s Lake State Park.
The concert will happen on the north shore, just by the Chateau.
Friday Fish Fry 5-7:30 p.m
Each Friday through Sept. 1, Elite Catering serves a fish fry outside the north shore chateau. Ten percent of proceeds from the $11.50 meals go to the park.

Wondering what trail to hike or what to see in the park? Join the Nature Center staff every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday morning (Memorial Day through Labor Day) for some great ideas. Meet at the Nature Center.
Guided Kayak Tours Fri & Sat. 6:30 pm
Go on an adventure at Devil’s Lake by kayak! Guides will take you on a 2-hour tour of the lake exploring the geology and lake’s wildlife. Space is limited, so you’ll need to preregister. To register, please contact the Nature Center at (608) 356-8301 ext. 140. If you need to rent a kayak, please let us know when you register. The rental fee is $25 for a single kayak and $45 for a double. Meet at the Chateau (North Shore Concessions).
