It’s Archery Weekend at Devil’s Lake State Park Saturday, June 17th & Sunday, June 18th from 12:30 to 3 pm.
Whether you are experienced with a bow or never tried, there will be certified instructors to help kids of all ages with some target practice. Join Devil’s Lake’s park naturalist and crew for a fun afternoon of archery! Drop in any time to try your hand with a bow and arrow. The location is easy to find right next to the north shore boat landing.
More Activities? You bet!
On Friday, June 16th from 9 pm to 10:30 pm, join astronomers from the UW-Madison Astronomy Program for an evening of exploring the Universe! There will be a short presentation at the beginning of the program. Then, if there aren’t too many clouds, participants can look at the stars and planets through the telescope.
Learn To Fish
Want to try fishing but don’t know what to do? Join the Learn to Fish program on Thursday, June 15th from 9 am to 11 am! There will be fun activities that will teach you the basics of fishing, before sending you off to catch some fish. The Nature Center will supply all of the equipment and bait. Meet at the North Shore Boat Launch.
Of course, that’s not all! Click here to head on over to our events calendar for a full list of weekend events at the park!
