Sunday, I took a group of intrepid hikers out to Devil’s Lake State Park’s Grigol Gulch on the east side of the park’s 10,000 acres. A few wet feet and a few scratches was more than a fair price for a sunny, winter day where every ice covered bush, weed and tree sparkled after a recent storm. Thank YOU to everyone who came along, you made it a super fun day!
This was part of a free series of introductory adventure hikes for 2017 hosted by our new Devil’s Lake Adventure Hikes guided hiking service. We’ll have more on that in April.
Our next free Adventure Hike will be held on Sunday, April 30th where we’ll take a small group of folks out to visit Black Bear Falls & Pine Hollow before kicking off the season in full on May 21st with our first South Bluff Adventure Tour. Sign up for upcoming free hikes will open on April 3rd. If you’d like to see a full list of our free adventure hikes & sign up details click here.
