Letterboxing Adventure, Then The Christmas Parade!

Go Letterboxing this Saturday, Nov. 19th at Devil’s Lake State Park anytime between 10am and 2:30 pm before heading over to the Downtown Baraboo Christmas Light Parade at 6pm.

Letterboxing combines elements of hiking and treasure hunting into an activity that the whole family can enjoy. Participants seek out hidden letterboxes by following clues and recording their discovery in their personal journal stamping the rubber stamp that’s found in letterbox. Drop-in at the Devil’s Lake Nature Center anytime between 10 am and 2:30 pm to go on a letterboxing adventure! At the Nature Center you’ll pick up the clues you need for this adventure. The naturalist will also have journals for you to take with you or you can bring your own.

Christmas Holiday Parades Wisconsin
At 6pm Saturday, the Downtown Baraboo Christmas Light Parade will kick off on the historic Downtown Square. See glittering lighted floats, reindeer and equestrian units, marching bands and novelty units. A Coloring Contest is held for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade for the opportunity to ride with Santa on his float in the parade. Gather at the historic Al. Ringling Theatre to witness Santa as he lights the Official Downtown Baraboo Holiday Tree. After the parade, children and families are invited to visit with Santa on the theatre stage and have their pictures taken.  Click here for more information.
