It’s Almost September! September will be here in a few days and we need some help here at the Nature Center. Check below to see if you’d be available to help out!
Can you help in the Nature Center?
We need help on Saturday afternoons in September at the Nature Center. We need a volunteer (or two) to staff the Nature Center while we running the monarch tagging programs at Steinke Basin. Nature Center volunteers answer visitor’s questions, check out backpacks, and count the number of visitors coming into the Nature Center.
If you can help on one or all of the days, let Sue (Park Naturalist) know. Her contact information is at the bottom of this email.

For the first 3 Saturdays in September, we’ll have programs where the public can come and tag any monarchs they catch.
We need volunteers to help with set up and take down and at Steinke Basin, help participants get started, and help tagging the monarchs! (No experience needed. We’ll show you everything you need to know!)
If you are interested, the time would be from 12:30 – 3:30 pm on;
Saturday, September 3
Saturday, September 10
Saturday, September 17
If you are interested in helping on one or all of the days, let Sue (Park Naturalist) know.
