Lawn Chair Bat Watch
Friday, June 3
Starting at 8:45 p.m.
Meet at the bat condo (near the north shore boat launch)
It’s a great time to bring a comfy lawn chair and watch the bats! We’ll park our chairs by the bat condo and watch the bats emerge from the houses. We’ll have fun bat information and a bat scavenger hunt for the kids to do while the wait to the bats to emerge.

Animal Feeding Day
Saturday, June 4
Starting at 11 a.m.
Happening at the Nature Center
Watch the animals in the Nature Center have lunch! Watch the box turtles munch on some salad. See the watersnake slurp down a fish. Look at the treefrogs as the tackle a cricket or two.

The kayak tours will start at the Chateau (North Shore Concessions)
Want a new way to explore Devil’s Lake? Take a guided kayak tour! As we paddle, we’ll look for wildlife and check out some of the park’s geology and history too. There is a limited amount of space, so we ask you to preregister and prepay prior to the event.
If you need to rent a kayak, please let us know when you register. The rental fee is $25 for a single kayak and $45 for a double.

The Kayak Tours are every Thursday and Saturday (6:30 – 8:30 pm) throughout the summer.

Early morning is one of the best times to explore Devil’s Lake – especially by kayak! Bring your own kayak or rent one from the Chateau. There is a limited amount of spots for the tour, so we ask you to preregister prior to the event.

Drop in at the Nature Center or down at the North Shore Beach (by the Chateau) to have some fun and find out about . .
Saturday, June 4, Drop-in Between 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Drop by the Exploration Station to take a closer look at fish! Do some practice fishing. Test your fish ID. Make a fish print. Create a fish and more! These activities will happen outside the Nature Center.
Saturday, June 4, Drop-in Between 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Bats are one of nature’s misunderstood creatures. Drop in and find out about the bats who live in Wisconsin, dispel some bat myths, and make thumbprint bat. Activities will happen at the North Shore Beach by the Chateau.
Sunday, June 5, Drop-in Between 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Drop by the Exploration Station and make some tracks! Test your tracking skills. Create a simple tracking booklet. Make a plaster track to take home and more! These activities will happen outside the Nature Center.
Sunday, June 5, Drop-in Between 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Slither on over and find out more about snakes! Check out what snakes you could find at the park. See how long snakes really are. Make a snake to take home with you and more! Activities will happen at the North Shore Beach by the Chateau.
