It’s time for our spring photo hike at Devil’s Lake State Park this Saturday, May 9, from 1pm to 3pm. Join us for a photography hike and workshop during spring in the Baraboo Hills. I will be leading you on a fun hike on and OFF the trails at Devil’s Lake to explore and seek out locations for creating wonderful color images. Our hikes are 60% wandering in the woods and 40% learning photo technique as we go. On a spring hike our focus will be on spring flowers and flowing water. This means we will be looking at the very basics of getting up close & slowing things down, including using a digital SLR’s AV & TV functions to make life easier.
You don’t need a fancy camera to come along. If you only have a camera on your phone, we’d love to have you join us too. There’s always something to learn along the way!
Our hike will start at 1pm from the Devil’s Lake State Park’s Nature Center. Bring your cameras and your questions. If you are a more advanced photographer have a tripod, shutter & ND filters, you can bring them as well. The event is free, however you will need a park sticker for your car. If you have any questions just send me an email.
