Join the Friends of Devil’s Lake State Park and park naturalist & educator, Susan Johansen for a candlelight snowshoe, Saturday Feb 21st from 6pm to 9pm at Devil’s Lake State Park! Saturday looks to be the warmest day we’ve had in a while so get out there!
What To Do?
- Go on a self-guided, torch-lit snowshoe. The torch-lit trail will go through the north shore picnic and beach area, near the east bluff. This trail will be flat – good for all levels of snowshoers.
- Warm up by the campfire
- Make s’mores or roast a marshmallow
- Bring your snowshoes or borrow one of our pairs – we have lots of sizes to fit everyone in your family.
- Make sure you dress appropriately; the north shore can be a bit windy and the trail goes through open and semi-protected areas. The event will happen rain, snow, or shine.
