Shorebirds Head South

Wisconsin birders are getting geared up for the 2014 fall migration which kicks off each year as shorebirds begin to move south as early as July! In fact right now it’s possible to find a variety of shorebirds right here in Sauk County.  The most popular hotspot at the moment has been reported along the Wisconsin River at the Sauk City canoe launch where a variety of sandpipers have been spotted.
