Weekend Events Nov 30 – Dec 2nd
As it often is this time of year, we’re in for a quiet weekend here in the Baraboo hills. There are a few events going on this weekend including holiday events in Downtown Baraboo, a cookie walk over in Portage and a fun photography day right here at Devil’s Lake State Park. Here’s the scoop….
Friday, November 30th
Book Launch at Coffee Bean Connection to Celebrate Local Author-A.M. Day from 5:30pm-8:00pm @ Coffee Bean Connection in downtown Baraboo. Celebrate the release of The Throne of Olympus!
Saturday December 1st
Free Winter Photography Program at Devil’s Lake State Park. 10 am to 11:30 pm. Spend a chilly winter morning taking pictures! We’ll start inside the nature center and learn a little bit about digital photography and how your digital camera works. Then, we’ll head outside to find lots of beauty in the quite of winter. Please bring a camera. The nature center does have a few cameras to loan as well. Meet at the Nature Center. Read more here.
Breakfast with Santa at the Garden Party Cafe & downtown Baraboo shops with special kids shopping tables and Gift Wrapping Stations. 9:30 am to 10:30 pm. Cost is $6 per person.
Sugar Plum Saturday in downtown Baraboo. A special day just for families! Many shops will host a special kids shopping day with kid-friendly prices.
Cookie Walk in Portage, Wisconsin – 9am to 12 pm. Purchase a cookie box filled with a map and specials for $5 at the Chamber office and then collect a cookie at various participating businesses throughout Portage. The Learning Tree Child Care Center will also be on site at the Chamber office hosting Free Cookie Decorating for all the children that are interested in participating in the Cookie Walk. Proceeds from the Cookie Walk this year are going to help the Portage Mural Project. Cost $5. For more info call the Portage Chamber of Commerce at 608-742-6242.
