You may not thing about it much, but Devil’s Lake State Park has some pretty fascinating and colorful fungi! This bright orange colony is currently sprouting out on the north shore of the park near the visitor center. Along the trails you’ll often spot all sorts of colorful and unique ‘shrooms, molds and fungi if you keep your eyes open. One of our favorites is the giant puff ball mushrooms which are edible and often grow to the size of a small soccer ball.
