We were visitng Baraboo over the New Year and followed the route you indicated on New Years morning. We were thrilled to see 6 mature eagles, and 5 adolescents. At one point, we even saw two mature eagles flying low in the front yard of one of the homes along Manchester street. What a thrill!! We felt like we could reach out and touch them! We’ve been to Alaska where eagle sightings are an everyday occurrence. It’s absolutely thrilling to see them making a comeback so much closer to home.
That’s great to hear. We were just down by the river ourselves about an hour ago. We drove down a long drive and came up on a local policeman who seemed to be staking out the Eagles! 3 mature birds and one adolescent.
I live right along Baraboo River and have enjoyed watching many adult bald eagles over the past few days…AMAZING! Wish someone could temporary post a few signs along water st. advising people to stay in vehicles. Have seen many people exiting vehicles to view and photograph. Afterall, I would love to have the eagles return next winter!
I am so excited to see these beautiful animals so close by that I can see them every day.I am so thankful for their recovery. !!
Thanks for documenting that wonderful development.

Hi Regina!
That’s great to hear. We were just down by the river ourselves about an hour ago. We drove down a long drive and came up on a local policeman who seemed to be staking out the Eagles! 3 mature birds and one adolescent.
Glad you had the opportunity to see them!
