Hunting season has pushed most hikers back to the trails immediately surrounding the lake.  Truth be told, for non-hunters the sound of guns going off around you is a bit disconcerting, even if you are all dressed up in blaze orange.  For our part we tend to hike out along the southern side of the East Bluff near Balanced Rock, Potholes & CCC trails.  While these trails are certainly a workout the views are magnificent.

The picture above is from early Sunday morning. Recently it’s been fairly warm here at the park and this time of year that often means fog and clouds. It won’t last of course, snow is forecast for tomorrow into Thanksgiving day.   Have a great holiday with family and friends.  Be thankful for each and every one of them… no matter how irritating they sometimes are!
