Unsinkable?
2008 Flood filled the north shore picnic area with high water.
You’ll be happy to know it won’t flood ever again at Devil’s Lake State Park. Well, I’m not ready to go that far myself but according to an article in the local paper, Dick Lathrop, a lake scientist with the state Department of Natural Resources says, “”I don’t believe we’ll ever have another overtopping of this lake,”. Cool. Of course Mr. Lathrop is not a weather witch, rather he overseeing a project that will modify the phosphorus removal pipe installed in 2002 into a gravity feed system to manage lake levels.
