Hikers and hunters will want to be mindful of each other this weekend as hunting opens in some sections of the park today through the 18th.  The most notable area that folks need to pay attention is out on Steinke Basin.  Hunting each day is only allowed until noon so keep that in mind as well.  Hikers & cyclists are encouraged to wear blaze orange while out on the trails during the hunt.  From now until the first of the year it’s important for park users to be aware of the hunting seasons and to respond appropriately.
