I’ve been a bit frustrated with the speed of the website recently.  Seems when nearly 160,000 stop by in just a short time, our server start’s choking trying to process it all.  Well, I’ve done some work to get that solved and hopefully we’ll be running much quicker now.  Let me know how it’s working for you!

The picture?  Well, it looks like one of the guys mowing around the park went a bit crazy out on Steinke Basin and mowed huge swaths of what used to be.. well, if not native prairie at least tall grass.  I’m not sure why they decided to mow such a large area but I imagine it was not simply to give you a better view of the road!

The park naturalist will be retiring in October so be sure to stop by the Nature Center and say goodbye and thanks to Dave.
